five foot nine inches
Doing twenty years, no chance of probation.
God, what do you see?!!

A child
born with mental retardation
handicapped for life and a “burden to family”.
God, what do you see?!!

A father
Abusive and a drunkyard
Never kept a job longer than two weeks, “a rolling stone”.
God, what do you see?!!

A college student
raging hormones
fornicating, not caring who they hurt.
God, what do you see?!!

A little girl
lost in despair,
forced into the sex trade and mishandled in every way.
God, what do you see?!!

A lawyer
out to survive
caring less about justice and lives and more about their name.
God, what do you see?!!

A businessman
prideful and deceitful
worships money and is full of gluttony.
God, what do you see?!!

A wife
who’s far from virtuous
married to a loving husband but is oh so ungrateful.
God, what do you see?!!

Seeking Your will Jesus and believing in You.
Jesus, You see us just the same.
