Matthew 13:44 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

You may be wondering what this said "Treasuring Hunting" thing is...
But before you get your explanation, I'm going to ask that you understand who God is. The same God who is capable of loving an undeserving you on a continual basis, is the same God who created this earth. He's kinda a big deal. So disclaimer: Do not underestimate what He can and will do, when it falls in line with His will.
The concept of treasure hunting is simple. It's a witnessing tool that gives you the opportunity to share God's love with people. You are putting yourself in a position to completely follow God's direction. The people that God leads you to are your "treasure".
You're basically:
1. Asking God to point out what your treasure is
2. Finding your treasure, and praying for them
That sounds easy enough, right?
You begin by praying to God. You (and your group) sit and quietly ask God to show you clues. You take these clues and write them down as they come to you. God may show you a word, an image of a stuffed animal, a color or even the name of a store. God will use these clues to lead you to treasure, people who need to hear about God's love (but not like that's not everybody!)
The whole idea is to depend entirely on the Holy Spirit.
My first time treasure hunting was probably the most incredible experience of my life. I stayed out with a group of friends until 5:00am, "looking for treasure". On our way home, after a long and amazing night of delivering Gods messages, my one friend and I stopped at a sunoco (similar to the sunoco sign that popped into my head while I was praying hours before-hand). Although we are not all comfortable with sharing our faith, God just wants His creations to know that He loves them. In this particular instance, I was able to share with and pray for two Philadelphia cops and their safety. It was definitely and awkward scene... a skinny little black girl holding hands & heads bowed with a big bellied black man and short stocky black woman (both decked out in bullet-proof vests... On the floor of A-plus mini mart.God will us this opportunity to put you into the most unimaginable situations and allow for His Holy Spirit to WORK!
