LOVE WILL COST YOU EVERYTHING, but no one truly lives except in love. It is the longest journey and greatest adventure: laying down your life; following the Lamb; finding His heartbeat and dancing to the rhythm; giving without expecting; growing by worship; suffering for joy. Jesus is love, and He is our standard. Love is perfect theology, perfect reason, perfect purpose, perfect law. Love was the thesis of His life, and it must be the prevailing theme of ours. If we imitate Jesus by loving like Jesus, then the world will not see us. They will see Him.
That’s why Love Changes Everything. That’s why we must draw Closer. Come love Him with us.
We are not a powerhouse ministry. We are just students from Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, MIT, UPenn, and Yale. We are desperate to meet God in our place of greatest need. We are a community which believes it is for a day dawning under revival that God has placed us on our campuses. That revival comes when we become the living expression of love.

Full Measure Auditions [SPRING2011]

Full Measure, Penn’s only Christian a cappella group; will be having auditions from 7-11 pm on January 23rd and January 24th on the third floor of Houston Hall. As a group of students from various colleges and universities in Philadelphia, we strive to worshipfully compel others to know more about Jesus Christ through our music and our lives. No prior experience is necessary so if you’re interested, please come and try out!

Celebrate the New Year With a Service-Minded New Year's Resolutionby: Chaz Howard
I'm pretty ambivalent about New Year's Eve. I've had some great ones -- had some that I'd rather not remember. Some years were spent braving below freezing temperatures watching fireworks with friends. Other years were spent in "Watch Night" worship services. I definitely brought in a few years dancing at parties to music that is now old school. Most recently, I've enjoyed taking my two daughters out to watch the fireworks close to our home. Yet, it is sometimes challenging to get them to come out because the loud bangs and sky-filling lights are little scary to them. But once they get past their fears and move from the safety and comfort of being inside, to the risk of being outside, special things happen.
Aside from the celebrations, and the time with loved ones, one of the most interesting aspects of New Year's to me has always been the notion of making resolutions. Many of us make promises and set goals for ourselves for the upcoming year. Most often these are inwardly focused goals with the intent of bettering ourselves, making ourselves healthier, more financially resilient, more responsible, more at peace. All of these are positive, but maybe these types of resolutions are not as powerful as they could be.
Maybe when we make resolutions that are solely about bettering ourselves, we are missing an opportunity to make a promise or set goals about serving others and making a difference in our communities and in our world.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not much good at keeping up New Year's resolutions. So I suppose I really shouldn't be challenging others to make them.
But here it comes...

Blessed be His name. Just got rocked at Jaeson Ma's "1040" screening. Was truly an inspirational evening. I felt what was more significant was the fact that I was absolutely exhausted. Yet I sucked it up, and went to this event, knowing it would last several hours. I'm not gunna lie, but I was seriously tempted into skipping the event to catch up on some sleep. But the moment I stepped foot into the auditorium, I knew I made the right choice. This is just a testament to the true power of God. He takes us at such a fragile moment in our lives--when we're at the breaking point, when we're tired and weak, when we feel as if we have nothing significant to offer--and radically moves in us, speaks in us, and motivates us to answer our true calling. After the event ended, I just felt so refreshed, rejuvenated, and excited about what God's about to do in my life. I think two things really struck me tonight: China and Government/Law.
As of lately (I don't know why) I've been feeling that my heart was being drawn towards China and the Chinese people. Tonight just confirmed what my heart felt. I now truly feel that there is a REAL PURPOSE in my education. I don't want to just go through the motions anymore. At times I felt that the things I learned in school wouldn't really serve a significant purpose in the future. Boy was I wrong. Jaeson's message really stirred in me some crazy emotions...something that I just can't express in words--there's such peace in my heart that what I'm investing in my education right now WILL pay off in the end. Everything has a purpose. Everything is for a greater purpose.
Tonight was a great night, spent with great people, speaking about great things.
